Pile of cut logs with a stump surrounded by grass

✦ What We Do

No More Mowing Around It

Leftover stumps attract termites, sprout suckers, and eat your mower blades. Our grinders chew them 8–12 inches below grade — deep enough for sod, seed, or a brand-new tree — then we restore the soil so the spot disappears.

Most stumps take under an hour, and bundling grinding with a removal saves you money.

✦ What's Included

A Complete Stump Service

Deep Grinding

8–12 inches below grade, roots chased where they threaten walks and drives.

Utility Checks

Lines located before we grind — no surprises with buried cables or pipes.

Chip Options

Chips hauled away or left as fresh mulch for your beds — your call.

Soil Restoration

Hole backfilled and leveled with topsoil, ready for sod, seed, or planting.

✦ Our Process

Under an Hour, Most Stumps

  1. Measure & locate. We size the stump and mark nearby utilities.
  2. Grind below grade. Carbide teeth reduce stump and surface roots to chips.
  3. Chips & soil. Haul or mulch, then backfill with topsoil and level.
  4. Rake & seed-ready. Area raked clean so grass or a new planting takes fast.

Stump Questions, Answered

8–12 inches below grade as standard — deep enough for sod, seed, or replanting. Need a foundation or patio base there? Ask about deeper excavation grinding.
No. Grinding destroys the growth crown, so suckers can't resprout. Persistent species get a targeted treatment at no extra charge.
Your choice: we haul them away, or leave a neat pile as free mulch. Mixed back into the hole, they settle — which is why we top up with real topsoil.
